In The News:

New Dual Stream Sorting at the Recycling Centers  Now you can conveniently place most of your recyclables into one of just two bins: containers and paper.  We'll take it from there.  Materials like batteries and plastic bags still have their own bins so be sure to keep them separated out, along with any CRV materials for redemption.  Learn more about drop-off recycling.

Business Paper Recycling Service Gets Easier  Customers no longer need to separate paper types. All types, including cardboard, may all be collected in the same toter that we provide for you. Larger pieces of cardboard that may "clog up" the toter should be flattened and stacked next to it.  Read more about our convenient business paper recycling service

Regional Recycling Processing Facility Opens  The Arcata and Eureka Community Recycling Centers are very pleased to announce the completion of a new dual-stream Regional Recycling Processing Facility in Samoa. This LEED-certified facility provides the Humboldt Bay area with much needed expansion of recycling services and capabilities.  What does this mean for the typical recycler? An easier and more convenient recycling experience. Read the press release.

Curbside Recycling Now Easier than Ever  The new Samoa Recycling Processing Facility's new dual-stream sorting capability means curbside recycling customers in Arcata and Eureka will be able to place recyclables into two bins: paper and containers.  Visit humboldtrecycling.org for more info.
